I am also constantly wondering this. Nature has already generated a vast array of pathogens and poisons. As a weapon, you still have to make and deploy it without killing yourself first. As a machine-driven process, why wouldn’t someone simply unplug the robot enacting AI’s will in the real world?

I don’t remember whose insight this is, but it blew my mind when I first read that to understand American history you have to get that race law was designed to increase the number of enslavable people (one-drop rule) and decrease the number of claimants to indigenous land (blood quantum)

I need people to understand that this is SO much worse than “trans youth can’t play sports.” Because the court ruled 9-0 that that trans people are not protected by Title-IX and 6-3 that we aren’t protected by the equal protection clause, we effectively have ZERO federal civil rights protections now

FYSA, the lead story is not "current GenXers brains are bad because lead", it's that lead poisoning disproportionately impacted poor and minority communities and those voters died younger. Also AIDS killed a lot of young progressive GenXers.
