Does Sweden has an option to do a driving test on Automatic? And also, even if you fail, the public transport infrastructure is so good in Sweden you’re gonna be fine without a car. No, actually, you will prefer not to have a car. Trust me.

I drive automatic now since it's great in the city, but not knowing manual is like not understanding how a car actually works. IMO every driving test should be on manual, then you can choose automatic or manual after.

Then driving classes and a test that teach set routes instead of real situational awareness. The whole thing takes 6 months to a year and costs a lot, I paid $1,200, and in Germany it's $3-4k.

I learned to drive manual two years ago, and licensing in Serbia, and Europe in general, is insane. First theory classes, then a test covering 1,600+ questions, half of which are useless, like how the motor on a three wheeled electric bike works or kW differences.
