They're playing right into his hands and making him a martyr. They're showing who the system protects and who it doesn't. People die because an insurance company denies claims? Too bad. CEO gets murdered? CEO hotlines are created and the full force of the government comes down on the murderer.

It gives credence to the idea that people in business have largely given up on the world’s attempts to reach sustainability. troubling bc people in business and people in government (who have been purchased by people in business) are really the only people with the power to change global outcomes.

2025 prediction: Everything will increasingly depend on social proof. -what you believe -what you buy -what you think is real or fake, good or bad, treasure or trash Decreasing trust in institutional authority creates a reliance on what people around you are doing, thinking, creating, and buying.

Quick note on the women of Mar a Lago. They feel compelled to modify their appearance into garish visages because that’s what expected of them and how they win affection. It’s sad that they’ve allowed immoral and violent men to define their value and attractiveness. It’s disempowerment in heels.

We have alternative business models available. Governments could create policy with long term benefits that incentivize sustainable growth. It’s not there are no solutions available. It’s a choice to accept poverty.

Jessica Grace @isicalynn.bsky.social · 09/12/2024

We have the illusion of choice in America but a few corporate behemoths own basically everything and can spike prices at will. They can also buy our government which puts us all in peril as it undermines democracy.

We don’t need to make billionaires more wealthy. It’s a choice

Jessica Grace @isicalynn.bsky.social · 09/12/2024

The purpose of a company need not be maximizing shareholder profits. That is one model from late stage capitalism (Milton Friedman) that correlates with the decline of democracy. A company can be successful by serving the community it operates in, employees, the environment, and its investors.

They are unable to put the phone down and have a conversation. All their thoughts orbit the information in the feed. It is more real than reality to them. Like a cult, it is all consuming.

I think a lot of normal people living lives in the real world don’t understand the stickiness of a social media addiction. Those afflicted spend hours scrolling absorbing nervous system triggering information and dopamine until they are in a trancelike state.

Jessica Grace @isicalynn.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

It would t have made a difference to the men caught up in the cult. They are quite literally living in an alternate reality.

I don’t think any of those MAL people were taught to seek knowledge from other scholars via books. There’s no value in a library when you believe you already know everything.

Jessica Grace @isicalynn.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

I won’t let them tell me who I am nor set my value in this world. I’ll remind them at every turn that they are deviant brain rotted cultists. They are cogs in a delusional terminally online hate machine.

Michelle Obama was right. This election was about the value of women in America. An increasingly violent set of abusers propped up by profiteering billionaires using social media to brainwash gen alpha men into believing women have stolen their rightful place in the world and should be punished.

I created a post in another place about how I think Mar A Lago smells and it seems to have triggered a number of sensitive folks who have never been to Mar A Lago but feel strongly about its odor. It’s nice to have this place in times like these where Im just a nice plant lady who likes Star Trek.
