My new official title will be Senior UX/UI Designer. It's the first time in nearly 20 years to have either "Design" or "Designer" in my title. I'm quite chuffed to have it back. It reflects the feedback my managers and I submitted to the restructure proposal process.

OMG! The grid is down and... Solar and battery save the day. OK, it's a scheduled outage from 8:30am to 2:30pm for upgrades. There are a few clouds so I've turned off the pool pump. I'm still working on my laptop, monitor, NBN and wifi etc no problem.

News talks about the height of the water in the flash flood. From the footage of the event and photos of the aftermath, its clear that 30-40% or more was slurry pouring down through the valley. Boulders, rocks, sand and mud. There is a very clear line where it just scoured EVERYTHING from its path.

8:30pm on a Wednesday night and Girl12 is still composing in Cubase. She got an excellence award for music term 1. Her classmates and teachers ask her to help on their Garage band projects.
