I know it's not entirely reasonable that killing pets should affect us more than killing human beings, but I think it often does. Though I wouldn't watch one of these videos, I'm not opposed to them being shared far and wide. Included in pro candidate spots. They should be held accountable.

Glad you're OK. I'm not local, some might say it's not 'my business' but I do try to follow the effects of climate changes everywhere. Not as a doomsayer, and everywhere is impossible. I think we still have a chance to mitigate the crises, if all would agree to act. So I try to track the data.

Yes. I'm not even sure how he managed to get on the ballot down here, but I fear the GOP is hoping to present him as a new Sarah Palin type figure, somewhere. I'm sure there have been more recent no qualification extremist nobodies, but he in particular just gives me that ugly vulgar Palin vibe.

Yeah, fortunately I just missed that obligation, I wasn't aware of them growing up in San Diego. I'm not sure which chain store might be better because there are so many local places that offer excellent takeaway. Though, tbh, sometimes I'll order McDonald's. No judgement here.

Met with new vet. I am so relieved. She got down on the floor and held each of the boys in her lap to examine. I apologized that we 3 were all very scruffy. I couldn't stop laughing because she kept pulling their top knot hair into a mohawk. Saying, "I love scruffy, and I love mohawks!" A keeper.

I don't think of it often these days but it was a fucking crazy experience. A person seemingly wacked out on something, with vacant hollow eyes, walked up and stabbed me in the chest. And the ins co said, sorry you should have pre-scheduled your treatment at a hospital with very long waiting lists.

We prevailed. Small wonders: Partial clot formed on artery so I didn't bleed out Clot didn't blow, quite fortunate EMTs took me to Cedars-Sinai rather than Kaiser 2 blocks away (Cedars has a trauma unit) Dr Wayne Gradman, a GOAT vascular surgeon was on call at the time

Ins story: 35 years ago I was stabbed at an ATM. "Nicked" subclavian artery. Survived due to few small wonders. $100k bill (through ER, mind you). Insurance denied claim because there was no prior authorization. Dirt poor non-profit employee me had to hire a public interest attorney to fight them.
