Ten years ago Tami, Roy, and I released a movie we made of antibiotic resistance evolving in real time. I thought maybe a couple thousand people tops would see it. I couldn't have imagined it would be seen millions of times, and be taught from middle school through the graduate level worldwide

New paper from our group in @natcomms.nature.com. Low-grade systemic #inflammation rises with age. But differs enormously between individuals of the same age. So we tested how much of that variation is explained by chronological age vs gut #microbiota composition and its relation to future disease.

Nice paper on the temporal dynamics of early infancy. Once again, it was shown that Escherichia & Klebsiella correlate with higher ARG load, and their abundance is in turn negatively associated with Bifidos. Kudos to the authors for the excellent paper! rdcu.be/eDRPa
