Having a much needed respite from work. Having lunch with Dracula (technically with Van Helsing and the boys) while listening to Spooky Lo-fi Girl is exactly what I needed🔥

I've come to really appreciate glossaries in books ✨ Perhaps because English is my second language and I'm always learning new words (esp with older books!) or maybe because 'googling' has become so tedious. Nevertheless, seeing this page gave me some unexpected joy today ☀️

I find Gmail’s new “write this for me” feature deeply sinister. They’re trying to convince you that you are dumb and helpless. Don’t let them steal your ability to formulate thoughts and communicate. You were capable of writing an email in 2022 and you’re capable now.

You can write your emails just fine. You always have! Want to improve? Take a writing course (there are cheap and free writing courses for a variety of types of writing to be found online). Using features like this is literally dimming areas of your brain. Keep them lit. Forget this feature exists.

I think I broke my brain with this new #bujo setup (hence the lack of decoration) but I'm excited about following the seasons and the days of the week rather than the usual calendar. I considered starting with spring instead of winter, but it felt like too much of a leap 😅 maybe next time!

An important thing with all the AI talk (and I wish I could find the tumblr person who inspired this): one way to help against genAI is to credit sources as best you can, from photos to art! Not everyone can identify genAI well (and it's much harder with the new updates), so credit can really help!
