Old 3D game landscape of tall, rocky cliffs. A text box says, GAME OVER. condolences, my pet. Options below say, CONTINUE, and, EXPLAIN. A cursor hovers over EXPLAIN.Text: Solver LBY,
Were you not instructed to avoid settling your gaze upon Meliflora's Precipice Were you not warned, sternly? Lovingly?
Did you imagine a trophy atop the pedestal of your disobedience?
Did you really think great Mother fate would make a winner of a trickster and a liar out of me?
SHAME! Shame. Hubris and shame. You've no doubt known schoolmarms, fathers, or generous barmen who have rewarded your giggling oversteps.
But your snickers at the rules sound tinny in my primeval ears. When you are many eons old, as I am, another's joie de vivre does not excite. I seek a Solver whose expansive mind apprehends the seeds of my instructions and whose deft hand tends them into tender truit. I Iong for a dance partner who will first learn the steps before pulling me into a confident embrace.
You may think you are leading this waltz, but l am the music, the planet, and the room.
Do not look at the precipice.
There is no other way. You must attempt once again to best me in Sports Trivia.

the ideal academic life is being an eccentric Victorian lord. Invent a stamp licking machine at 22. Get elected to the Royal Academy for counting the beetles on your estate. Die in an arsenic explosion. The perfect life.

🌕 Today marks the 57th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. If you have a small telescope, head outside tonight. By a remarkable coincidence, the Moon is almost exactly the same phase it was when the Eagle landed. We'll show you how to find Tranquility Base at capitalweather.com

Lucifer’s Fruit grassyvalley.thecomicseries.com/comics/64/#c...
GRASSY: This person ranked the top 25 fruits! Let's see if we agree.
DAFFODIL: Well I agree with some of it.
WEB PAGE: This Blog Bears Fruit:
25. Kiwi.
This verdant treat is no slouch! Kiwi adds a fun kick to any smoothie and is a favorite among juice. A respectable fruit by any measure, but the hairs present me a personal problem!
There you have it! The ranking of the top 25 fruits. I tried my best, but you are free to disagree. What does everyone think of the tie between raspberry and blackberry?

Comment: nodevil1234:
Devil worshippers always think they're so smart. Apple at 1 and banana at 2? You think we wouldn't notice, Beelzebuddy?
Of course you would put God's perfect fruit-formed to man's grip, wrapped for man's eye, and engineered for man's stomach—below that lurid flesh which lured Eve's bite.

Comment: ThisBlogBearsFruit (Author):
as i said in the post, i once had a banana that had a hard part in the middle like a long nut and i don't seek that from my fruits. i think this would be a problem for god or anyone who has tasted or invented fruits.

And a little bit of it is just…people need places to waste time. We need places to mill around in for no particular reason, just to see other people. We’re all getting cooked looking at screens all day getting anxious and angry and the solution is being able to rent Season 9 of Family Guy for $3

I think it's now possible to make a poli-sci course that equips one for modern political analysis better than most classic theory and has a syllabus sourced entirely from random internet posts. Text 1. Wilhoit's Law, born as part of a 2018 blog comment crookedtimber.org/2018/03/21/l...
There is no such thing as liberalism — or progressivism, etc.

There is only conservatism. No other political philosophy actually exists; by the political analogue of Gresham’s Law, conservatism has driven every other idea out of circulation.

There might be, and should be, anti-conservatism; but it does not yet exist. What would it be? In order to answer that question, it is necessary and sufficient to characterize conservatism. Fortunately, this can be done very concisely.

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit:

There must be in-groups whom the law protectes but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

There is nothing more or else to it, and there never has been, in any place or time.

For millenia, conservatism had no name, because no other model of polity had ever been proposed. “The king can do no wrong.” In practice, this immunity was always extended to the king’s friends, however fungible a group they might have been. Today, we still have the king’s friends even where there is no king (dictator, etc.). Another way to look at this is that the king is a faction, rather than an individual.

As the core proposition of conservatism is indefensible if stated baldly, it has always been surrounded by an elaborate backwash of pseudophilosophy, amounting over time to millions of pages. All such is axiomatically dishonest and undeserving of serious scrutiny. Today, the accelerating de-education of humanity has reached a point where the market for pseudophilosophy is vanishing; it is, as The Kids Say These Days, tl;dr . All that is left is the core proposition itself — backed up, no longer by misdirection and sophistry, but by violence.
So this tells us what anti-conservatism must be: the proposition that the law cannot protect anyone unless it binds everyone, and cannot bind anyone unless it protects everyone.

Then the appearance arises that the task is to map “liberalism”, or “progressivism”, or “socialism”, or whateverthefuckkindofstupidnoise-ism, onto the core proposition of anti-conservatism.

No, it a’n’t. The task is to throw all those things on the exact same burn pile as the collected works of all the apologists for conservatism, and start fresh. The core proposition of anti-conservatism requires no supplementation and no exegesis. It is as sufficient as it is necessary. What you see is what you get:

The law cannot protect anyone unless it binds everyone; and it cannot bind anyone unless it protects everyone.
