Blaming sex workers for society's ills is as old as the profession itself. Never mind that men are the primary consumers! Even before the Montreal shooting, I saw so many posts about "Girls! Don't be Bonnie Blue!" when there's only 1 Bonnie Blue but 1,000 men who signed up to have sex with her.

In Ottawa, the police chief had to make a 7-minute video telling officers to stop using databases and surveillance tools to look up women they found attractive out in the world. This is a major problem *everywhere* and one that has only gotten worse as police have gotten access to more technology.
