Is the charging infrastructure keeping up in the US? (Assuming you're there?) In Australia it possibly requires a shift but it's getting there to be fair. (Demand will demand that it does keep up.) Cities are going to become so quiet and healthy!!! 💪

What sh1ts me (kinda) is the lack of affordable 7 seater options in Australia. KIA EV9 is way overpriced imho (north of $100kaud. I am holding out for a 7 seater, full EV that isn't going to charge me a monthly mortgage payment...

I’m constantly amazed at the population of OG Leaf and e-Golf in Portland. So much of the EV FUD shadow press hypes races to Vegas or 10-80% in 3 minutes and solid state! When a simple leaf for s few thousand dollars would meet most folks needs.

I installed solar on my previous home and don't have it currently on my new place in Portland, but thought it prudent to illustrate the incredibly flat nature of EV charging costs in progressive states with competent leadership, so I added it to the average gas price graph to help people understand.

One of the big factors in my choosing the IONIQ 5 was that, while it was a first year product, it was from a globally competitive carmaker that sells millions of cars a year and knows how to build them. Unsurprised to see early R1T style teething issues with the R2, wild for iX3/EX60 money 🤪

Norway produces more oil than Venezuela. And yet, between January and August 2026, electric vehicles made up 97.8 percent of all new cars sold in that country. Moving to EVs is often based on intelligence, not need. Which is why it lags in the notoriously short-sighted and stupid United States.

I can't get over the sheer volume of IONIQ 5's and e-Golfs in Portland so I dug into the OR EV registration data, state wide there are: More IONIQ 5's than all EVs from brands like: Rivian, Toyota, BMW, Subaru, Audi, Honda, Volvo, Polestar, Mercedes, Fiat, Mini, Cadillac, etc...
