If the significant results is not novel (well-replicated), then it may be less likely to be published.

An Ikea pegboard with hooks and labels? Your solution is clean and organized, but thr friction of getting each cable (opening drawers, bags, and undoing steps) could may it less likely that you and others will actually reach for the cables.

I wonder if a lightweight publishing path (to a Google Sheet) would help open up this PPPR file drawer. It's interesting to muse about how to do this carefully.

New paper! Despite qualitative researchers claiming that generalizability is not a goal, their published work does indeed contain generalizable claims. We document this and provide recommendations for how all researchers can better calibrate their generalizability claims. doi.org/10.1177/2515...

Interestingly, systematic review don't have standards for excluding by COI/competing interests. There's just GRADE risk of bias for methodological quality. Weird, huh?

📚As I power through my first systematic review this semester, I wonder why the method has not deepened its criticality in this open science era? Given how easy it is to share data and code, why not simply exclude closed studies to avoid wasting time? Authors I've contacted for data don't respond.

Is anyone working on FAIR-type standards for sharing LLM prompts? It's be nice to collect them in one place, solidify the metadata, and recommend them to users just-in-time for particular use cases. Of course, recent models seem to be less affected by the prompts themselves than by other factors.

Open scientists working on equity, fairness, and crediting, what is being done about stolen ideas from ECRs? Sadly not much has changed since I was an undergrad. It seems that stolen credit still manifests across fields and roles.
