Er det virkelig så vanskelig for alle de mediehusene som elsker alle som sier «det finnes bare to kjønn» å stille det enkle spørsmålet «hva skal det betyr i praksis for transpersoner og andre som bryter med kjønnsnormene?» Så enkelt. i don't know who needs to hear this but remember that labels are tools. their value is dependent strictly on their utility. they are descriptive, not prescriptive. labels are not immutable and if they lack function then you can disregard them.

I sort of wish y'all took this more seriously, because this attitude is a reinforcement of heterosexuality as a hierarchy. It's an acknowledgement and understanding that it's not enough to "be with" a woman, or even to father children. They define manhood as exploitation, abuse, and dominance.

A very, very important peer-reviewed empirical study published in the academic journal Pediatrics shows that hormone treatment of young trans people decreases suicidality very significantly. Doubtless it will be ignored by Simonoff et al, who are not even measuring this in the “Pathways” study.
