Using #antirequirements is a powerful way to increase autonomy by breaking your domain into separate islands that can evolve independently. Learn how to use anti-requirements in your system design in our blog post. particular.net/blog/antirequirements

Using anti-requirements to find system boundaries
We all love building greenfield projects. 1 But inevitably, starting a new project involves lots of meetings with business stakeholders to hash out initial requirements and canonical data models.

As a disabled web accessibility practitioner. This pisses me off. Extremely. GENERATIVE AI DOES NOT AND CANNOT EVER REPRESENT DISABLED PEOPLE. Just fucking hire disabled people like me who know what they're doing. Believing AI over disabled people is ABLEISM and DEHUMANIZING. For fucks sake.

Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.

How can #WardleyMapping, #DDD, and #TeamTopologies be combined in a structured way to optimize systems for flow? I developed an opinionated structured approach and visualized it in an Architecture for Flow Canvas. You can find more information at susannekaiser.net/architecture-for-flow-canvas.
The Architecture for Flow Canvas as a Miro board consists of several steps to assess the current situation as-is and envision the ideal future. It starts with the teams and business landscape of today and envisions the teams and landscape of tomorrow. The steps are:
- Analyzing current teams
- Assessing flow of change incl. blockers & pain points
- Visualizing the current business landscape
- Categorizing the problem space
- Modularizing the solution space
- Visualizing the future business landscape
- Deriving the future team organization

I’ve also been thinking a lot about “commit to small things, estimate large things” in a complex environment High-functioning teams require accountability. Sprint-level commitments help me and my team focus. But committing to a big, uncertain, poorly-specified project months in advance is foolish.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens. Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
Post from Latino pollster Mike Madrid:

“Doing some research for an upcoming article on the last “mass deportation” of Mexicans during the 1930’s.

Over half of those deported were US citizens.”

This is Lily. She's been accused of drinking her mom's slushie. Will not be taking any questions at this time. 14/10
a golden retriever sits smiling in the front passenger seat of a car. the window is rolled down just a couple of inches. blue skies with puffy clouds and some happy little trees are in the background. it’s a totally normal photo of a golden in a car, minus the fact that the tongue sticking out of her mouth is bright blue.you’re peering down into a styrofoam cup that was in a car’s cupholder. it is mostly empty but has some blue slushie way down at the bottom with a mysteriously tongue-shaped hole carved through the ice in one spot. the back of a golden retriever’s head is visible in the upper right corner of the photo. the dog may or may not be avoiding eye contact.
