Agree wholeheartedly with all of this. Also as an aside, it's a pretty sad state of affairs when the bar is so low (arguably subterranean) for most politicians that standing up for your own country is considered notable somehow. It should be the bare minimum, but here we are.

It's funny, when it comes to people like Scott Moe and Rob Ford, I tend to disagree with their stances the vast majority of the time. And yet they still somehow drew a HARD line at any of the toxic "51st State" or other rhetoric coming from the US. Which is more than Polievre and Smith can manage.

Oh interesting. I thought he was always one of those "woke is ruining gaming" bros, so that's surprising. Then again, the alt-right grift is self-sabotaging like that. I know it doesn't help, but it isn't just trans people. Women/POC, LGBTQ+, "uglified" female game characters. Basically anything not alt-right "traditional" conservative Christofacism he blames for all the world's problems. He's a divorced white dude who made it everyone's problem.

The psychology and effects of different clothing is weird man. If I have a day off, am not planning on leaving the house, etc, and stay in PJs all day, I will get next to nothing done. But if I put on pants, it's like I'm suddenly motivated to be productive. It's a weird, weird thing.

I'll take a Crack at this, if I may. I think at least originally, the He-Man/She-Ra cartoons appealed (or were supposed to) to boys/girls respectively. Very 80s marketing mindset. Nowadays we've moved a bit past the idea the idea of single-gendered audiences. Love the name BTW. And SPoP is great.

A thing I found is that nearly all of the right-wing hate-watching grift-tubers claiming modern writing has been ruined by "wokeness", millenials, women/poc, etc, are all failures at said industry themselves. People like Critical Drinker and his ilk are mediocre creatives and blame everyone else.

This is EXACTLY the way I felt when I saw it. The premise was very interesting, and I really liked the supernatural angle. And it sucks to say this, but the latter half, from dialogue to the action to everything...just left me monumentally underwhelmed.

I do think that MW5: Clans is a mechanical and visual step up from Mercs, from the videos I've watched (only played Mercs myself). And yeah, I also think the voice acting and story is a bit more refined in Clans as well. Mercs walked to Clans could run. I just can't bring myself to play a clanner.

Absolutely agree with this. I know Carney gets a lot of flack from both sides (sometimes fairly), but it's honestly refreshing to have someone who's a genuine goddamn adult as PM. No slogans, buzzwords, etc. Just someone doing his job. I don't always agree with him, but I'm very glad we have him.

Finished the audiobook Blood Will Tell by Jason Schmetzer the other day. Good plot, characters were dynamic, and love the interactions between Danai and her tutor/friend Mina. Also though, the narration by Liisa Lee is phenomenal. Really need the sequel in audio format. #battletech #booksky #scifi

I'm going to disagree with this take, especially the "unforgiveable" hyperbole. In the real world, police and policing has serious issues, obviously. But that shouldn't mean that police/enforcers/guards in fiction are automatically or universally corrupt, malicious, or abusive.

Just saw it myself for the first time a few weeks ago. Binged the entire show in about a week, and it has utterly consumed me ever since. Seriously, the writing, moral themes and messaging, and overal narrative and characters are just So. Damn. Good.
