Picked up more vintage comics! Mainly Batman books, starting with the first three issues seen here - what looks to be a multi-part story about a vampire encounter! 🧛‍♂️ An appropriate find for the start of spooky month! 🎃 #batman #dccomics

If I want one thing from my intermittent fame, it is to be as fondly remembered as Peter Lorre was; a staunchly pro-union actor who animators kept putting in cartoons as way of middle finger to their bosses. I can think of no greater honour.

Good grief! It IS real! I remember finding like a promo trading card for Civilian Justice slipped into a book I bought used some years back. Weirdest thing, I swear. I had never heard of it before, and I certainly didn't know that ad space was purchased for it in Wizard!

Dang, that's kind of a dated look. Like, even for 1999, I don't think Atom was still sporting that fit? Pretty sure he had swapped back to his more traditional costume in JLA by then.

Found something interesting today - issues of a DC mini-series from 2000 called "Silver Age". Always kinda knew about it, but never actually had read it before. And I'm frustrated to have learned that I don't have the issue that actually starts the story. D'oh! 😵 #dccomics

The vibe I get from these early TNG episodes is that it was a bunch of writers trying to do scifi stuff and then Roddenberry would come in and be like “time to rewrite this whole script to make it horny and weird”

leader executed for treason."! Black explained the premise of a society that developed laws to prevent terrorism and chaos: "Let's say that what we do is kill everybody who is a terrorist or suspected of being a terrorist. Now the people who have killed everybody, what do they do?"[2]
The idea was re-written by the show's creator Gene Roddenberry and writer Worley Thorne. It was Roddenberry and Thorne who created the godlike entity and sexed up the Edo." James L.

Kinda still thinking about this idea I had last week about Roulette and Arcade working together to create a new Murderworld to trap the Justice Society and the X-Men in. Dunno, just seems natural to have these two collaborate somehow? 🤔 #dccomics #marvelcomics #jsa #justicesocietyofamerica #xmen

Artwork depicting the character of Roulette standing before a roulette wheel with the faces of the various Justice Society members on each sectioned pane, as featured on the cover of JSA (Volume 1) #28, drawn by Rags Morales.

Comic art of Arcade, shown tossing a number of playing cards with images of the various X-Men on them, as seen in X-Men (Vol. 1) #122, drawn by John Byrne.
