sure is cool AA didn't add any more starting pitching than he did so we get to watch aj smith-shawver throw 60+ pitches in two innings against the fucking NATS

I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.

would've liked another actual good starter but i'm sure the value just wasn't there. i know we all love mateo and HSK has NOT been good but i wouldn't bet on the trend of mateo > kim to continue. gonna miss eli and nacho but they got useful pieces without giving up anything. could've been worse!

mac :3 @immortality.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

underwhelming and disappointing for sure but i think disastrous is a bit much especially considering the trades were all Fine.

linkin park a place for my head (hybrid theory) numb (meteora) no more sorrow (mtm) waiting for the end (ats) roads untraveled (living things) guilty all the same (thp) heavy (oml) IGYEIH (from zero) honorable mentions to one step closer, figure.09, and one more light

never thought short form video would be able to capture a type of humor i can only describe as “the far side-esque” but this comes close.

it's not even all of the cutscenes! just certain cuts! which makes it all the more jarring! who thought this would work and not look like absolute shit!

mac :3 @immortality.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

started the halo remake today. ripped thru the new prequel missions and had an okay time. did the first mission proper and i have to ask: why did they use genAI in the cutscenes

i say this as a fan of a team whose current starting shortstop irl is a 5'9 white guy born literally in 2000 who goes by "jim" so i know unserious when i see it

000

mac :3 @immortality.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

played the royals in diamond dynasty and it's so unserious. wdym the pitcher the game has closing for them is some dominican dude named steven

your honor have you considered that i, on the whole, am simply very eepy? and that in my heart i am already cozy in bed? forsooth i suggest leniency be granted on account of i am so very, very tired

mac :3 @immortality.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

he just feels like a very bad fit for any team that isn't a rebuilding one so naturally i can't wait for the braves to trade some 19 year old kid who's repeating rookie ball for the third year in a row for him in about two weeks

000

mac :3 @immortality.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

i mean i guess the answer is "he won't cost much" but idk why teams want a guy who's built like a light-hitting shortstop from 1986 who has a league average bat at the great american small park but whose vast majority of defensive reps have come at the defensive stalwart positions of 1B and LF

"One Billion Players a Day" isn't a business declaration, it's a bullet loaded into a gun aimed at everyone you *didn't* lay off today. It is setting an unattainable standard to justify further missed expectations.

think the thing folks are missing with the digital vs physical convo is that the pendulum tends to swing back the other way. digital-only was the fear with books and music. still is with film/tv. swung back in the case of books/music. choosing to be optimistic that the same will happen for games.
