I stopped reading them after a very hard breakup with someone who was there with me near the beginning of that journey into queerness. And reading the saccharine sweetness of a pov character interacting with a cast of queer characters hit me like a truck. It's silly but I love it.

I started playing it myself later that night. It was a strange feeling. Returning to a type of media that was my major gateway into not just the furry community but queerness and gender queerness at all. It was fvns that led me to become a furry and to eventually admit I was queer and enby.

Last night I saw my friends reading an fvn together and hopped in mostly to have some friendly background noise while I did my own thing. It was cute, very genuine in its expressiveness and drew me in with the writing, music, and art. The specific vn doesn't matter so much as how it made me feel.
