I bought myself a shiny new camera. Technology has come on so much since my last one around 15 years ago! Here are a couple of snap shots with a 100mm macro lens, automatic settings as I haven't worked it all out yet, on a grey and windy day. The detail is insane. #photography #macro

Here's the next stage. One size up, one more element (yet to be painted in). This is the joy of art, the levelling up, the feeling you are inching ever closer to the image in your head. It's beautiful, hard work and I wouldn't swap that for 5 seconds of plugging in an AI prompt for anything. #human

'Dandelions,' was painted by the Danish artist Bertha Wegmann around 1910. It wasn't an arbitrary choice of a plant to paint: the dandelion was used to promote the women’s liberation movement in Scandinavia because of its capacity for uncontrolled, strong-willed growth.
