I wouldn't call it "show up for them" though, politicians loses and go home and sleep. Middle/working class and the poor are the ones suffer the consequence. But the rest of what you said is solid. Exactly what I been trying to say all these time. Holding those who didn't vote and who voted third party as a reason (if not the reason) responsible for the result doesn't mean you are less progressive or agree with Biden or Harris. Symbolic meanings of your actions don't matter, consequences do.

let me put it differently, change the way we describe the option, turn "vote Harris" into "vote against Trump"(print the 'vote against' on ballot) and all of a sudden those who didn't vote would make the right choice. It's not the symbolic meaning of your action that matters, it is the consequence
