2 minutes ago SportCenter played a clip of Stewie saying she doesn't want to blame the refs but two refs said they didn't have any resets left, so that's interesting, too.

Rucco was baffled and yelling that they should use it, then had production confirm with the stats desk that they did actually still have a reset and it wasn't a scoring error. Lobo saying that even if they had a full court play drawn up they should have called it the minute they struggled to inbound

A bunch of stuff I'm not enthused about that I don't really want to get into at the moment, but I hope some people who care about craft hear the part of their audience who cares about craft say "I'm not into this" and continue to make similar moves.

Daniel King, who runs one of the best chess channels on Youtube, had started using AI to make thumbnails and, thankfully, has decided to stop. www.youtube.com/@PowerPlayCh...

"To an extent, the experiment worked. Although they were not to my own
taste in terms of aesthetics, the Al thumbnails saved us time, boosted
views, and arguably looked less amateurish than our previous offerings!

However, it quickly became clear that a large element of our viewers felt
very negatively towards the switch. Frankly, I have come to see why. We
have put a great deal of care and attention into these videos and have
never compromised on their quality; I can see how the Al thumbnails
could undermine the credibility of the channel."

I mean, yeah this is preseason, but if you didn't catch this Jokic pass yet I don't think another person in the league could or would even think to make it.

Someone, who never talks and whose name is never mentioned, follows you around and tilts a goblet to your lips so you can have little sips.

More midfield options in camps seems to be generally a good way to at least try to avoid the stagnancy that plagued the post-Mewis/Ertz pre-Hayes years.

We updated the story to include all the PDFs of the mortality reports, which ICE has now removed. Read the details they don't want you to see here, and big ups to managing editor Caity, who reformatted everything for me. Thank you Caity.

Excited to celebrate "100 Years of Labor Films" at Yale conference later this week. As I'm (too slowly) completing my book on labor activist-turned-film distributor Tom Brandon, it's nice to return to early chapter of his career in Film & Photo League. Plus I'm intro'ing MILLIONS OF US (1935)!

Just giving this one last kick to try and get over the line with some bills. As always, if you can’t/don’t, no harm no foul.

Since I'm teaching Pre-Code Hollywood soon, let's have your favorite Pre-Code moments! Obviously BABY FACE is full of bangers. I'm also partial to JEWEL ROBBERY when gentleman thief William Powell uses marijuana to incapacitate jewelry store employees to get the loot. What's your favorite?
