One thing I’ve personally found to be an incredibly uncomfortable experience growing up openly Genderqueer and queer in my attraction to others is that older queer (often closeted) men (who often have watched me grow up from being a child) approach me in an inappropriate manner solely bc im LGBTQ+.

If you’re in an institution doing any kind of DEI work, the most important thing to do right now is simply call it something else.
