My wife was a big x-files fan when she was young so i've been watching it with her and it's generally pretty good but, man, season 2 has a lot of sexual and gendered violence against women and it's hard to watch. We've skipped 4 of the first 15ish episodes.

One of our national transport drivers was bitching that he was sitting at home collecting $28 an hour for 8 hours every day for 30 days while his tractor was in for repairs. Said it wasn't enough money. I told him to call me next time so we can switch jobs. He didn't like that.

I finally have generic vyvanse after 4 months of fighting with my prescription insurance. I didn't win; I gave up and had the prescription sent to a different pharmacy and paid cash. I took it for the first time 90 minutes ago and it seems good so far.

If you told me when I started grad school that one of the lectures would spend 40 minutes explaining that raw word probability isn't sufficient for predictive text models and that we need to chain the priors, I wouldn't have believed you. The 2.5 hours of lecture this week could have been an email.
