I haven't kept up with the story, but I believe that this set will not have a major effect on the multiverse at large, as the planeswalkers will manage to convince Jace to stop and his echoverse will collapse in on itself. If Jace survives, it'll be in a largely diminished state like post-WAR bolas.

Dutton said his paintings for the franchise were essentially stream of consciousness: "All my imaginary cityscapes for STAR TREK and other science fiction shows, began as vague ideas, sometimes imagining the history of an alien civilization and then I would start painting shapes. What I often came up with was something very blurry, as if I was looking at a city in a fog. Then over time as I continued to paint, the fog would gradually lift. It probably sounds corny, but that’s what it felt like for me, just continuously refining until it seemed to be a real city. Later on I switched to Griffin Alkyd paints which are resin based and dried much faster (without yellowing as oils tend to do) so I could advance a painting faster."

They're gonna try their hardest to normalize this. And I can get why; video game consumers yelled and complained about phone-home DRM, day-one DLC, a lot of consumer-hostile shit. But in the end, they bought the games anyway and eventually just got used to it. Frog-boiling works.

My time at BuzzFeed was marked by continually being taken advantage of and lied to. They repeatedly assured me in good faith that they would never do anything with Cuppy without my input, yet offered me no legal options, insisting that I would never need them. The news that this character, who is based on my own personality and whom I created as a microphone to spread love and positivity, has been taken and turned into a soulless Al puppet feels like having my intestines pulled out of my body.
Somebody leaked the news to me early on that there were talks happening, and I pleaded with the CEO Jonah Peretti directly not to do it. Instead, he tried to talk me into signing an NDA. Obviously, I did not.
This is an assault on artists everywhere.
I encourage you to boycott BuzzFeed and any Al-produced or adjacent animation.
