Oh sure that colors it but these noisy exits specifically seem to me almost entirely because they are currently shedding the researchers that fit your description very well.

I'm begging people to look up how a human actually works rather than taking it from literary fiction. It's a sack of meat where a million random types of juices interact and react themselves into something loosely approximating a machine (and badly at that)

It's so crazy that tricking a somewhat innocent guard into letting you through is now an actual occupation. Like we glitched into some parallel dimension or something

I've been reading _Foundryside_ by @robertjbennett.bsky.social and in it there's a sentient key that opens doors by jailbreaking the magic (sentient Haiku level) locks and it's hilarious. He's just like you! lmao

You know, I always thought people name-dropped in order to make themselves appear important. This instance however merely manages to erase all doubt about whether you really are such a petty little bitch.

There were some issues around 1930 which lead to renegotiations of the foreign loans but pretty much each renegotiation resulted in some hefty concessions in favour of Germany. There were surely causes for their election but just as importantly there were lucky opportunities for them to exploit, too

German Politicians (inevitably then amplified by Newspapers) will to this day repeat it every time the debt brake comes up for debate. I even heard it from my History teacher in school here in Germany.

Hitler drew this direct link in his inaugural speech. As such it is about as credible as saying trump got elected because there was an invasion of illegals at the southern border. I’m mystified how this keeps being repeated. I suspect it was a convenient lie which the Germans kept alive post-war.

My airways were built for sitting placidly under a tree eating grapes in a soft breeze! Delicate breathers with pinhole nostrils deserve rights too. We can’t help it that we stem from a line of supple ethereal elves with respiratory systems adapted to loving sincerely and listening attentively

And for anyone looking for inspiration, this is the build that sent me down this road of using aluminum profiles for a case. This one looks better and is much easier to replicate. He used those miniature Makerbeam profiles instead of full-size like me

ngggh I *really* feel like showing what I was aiming at now lmao. I never finished the build (this was during my pre-adderal prescription days) and never showed anyone lmao. I’ll feel better getting these renders out

I *think* i get it because I tried to solve a similar problem years ago and hit upon the same solution. Basically it solves three design problems in one fell-swoop. Visual Texture + Air Flow + Dust Filter. I just did it with gyroid infill instead of that fancy foam structure.

Good thing he has no clue this was just the first round. I can do this all day buddy! If the damn sheep-strength shaver wasn’t so loud he wouldn’t even have noticed. I don’t knick! I caress with that thing. But the wriggling… the goddamn wriggling man… that’s where he gets you!

World-class wriggler right here. Wriggles like you wouldn’t believe. This boy can wriggle with the best of ’em. No one does it like him. And he’s got the haircut to prove it. Makes it look like I went to town chomping his fur off one bite at a time.

Kafka was gay as hell, right? We all agree on that? The Trial? Your boss found out but he can’t fire you for that but now the office *is talking*. Metamorphosis? Your family found your gay porn stash. The Castle? You’ve heard about gay hot spots in town but people refuse to tell you where they are.

macOS offers the creaky old AppleScript backdoor (which can be even called using JS nowadays I think?). The wezterm Lua api looks a lot more useful though. Looks like it has way more granular control github.com/ghostty-org/...

Don’t know if it qualifies as a framework but it sure is some form of library for interactivity. Its originator even wrote a whole manifesto which explains his approach: grugbrain.dev

My therapist said It’s fine, I have some auditory cognitive style or something. Engaging with LLMs to think out loud is almost a substitute. Writing on paper is a close second. But nothing beats muttering to myself like a lunatic lmao
040
Berger Smith @holbidope.bsky.social · 24/04/2026
No, and it holds me back. I used to think out loud a lot when solving difficult problems when designing (architecture school) or doing homework. I don’t live alone anymore and don’t want to look like a lunatic, but now i get stuck a lot. I’m trying to use writing instead but it’s not the same.

that novel reads like a clear cut cautionary tale *to me* but williams apparently disagrees. i can't but conclude that he straightforwardly made the character live out the choices he considers to be right, but can't help feel guilty about. you just don't include this much misery otherwise imo
110
Berger Smith @holbidope.bsky.social · 07/03/2026
and it is for sure. but since the book spans his WHOLE life (+aftermath) it left me curious why it was so important to williams to show us what these specific life choices add up to if pursued to the fullest i got that hero quote from this review: anodysseyofthoughts.wordpress.com/2018/07/30/s...

hey, so cool that you're getting into generative art. the tool that really made that art explode onto the scene was Processing and then continued with p5.js. so if you want to get deeper into that you can google some works and see what you like and what's possible. keep on growing and exploring

I found Dostoevsky bewildering for similar reasons until i looked into it and found that there was some popular rationalist utilitarian intellectuals who specifically got on his nerves and whom he was expressly trying to piss off.

the normal german meaning of the word Verkehr is almost identical to the english "traffic", both for vehicles (rush-hour traffic) and exchange of goods (i.e. trafficking). the word "Verkehr" itself just means the transfer of something so exchange or trafficking could do i think?

I am nothing but a mouth, but I don't see what's so special about the tokens [82, 47100]
the word 'scream' but it's color coded as the two tokens into which the gpt-4 tokenizer decomposes it. namely one token for the letter s (token id 82) and the word 'cream' (token id 47100).

so, not only does an LLM see the word scream as two sterile numbers but the whole apparatus which imbues this combination with meaning for it will only ever let it understand it to the extent of:

"i've heard beings do this in distressing situations. what are distressing situations? well i've heard beings feel distressed when...? what is 'feeling'? well i've heard that... what do i mean by 'heard'? well when a dataset and a training framework love each other a lot... what is 'love'? well, matrix multiplication and activation functions when combined with a turing machine can give rise to...'
