What is even “The Establishment” anymore? The code du jour creating a permission structure for anti-Black and anti-Jew sentiment. How will leaving our principles behind create the power needed to effectuate positive change? Progressivism requires pragmatism and organizing, not vapid emotionalism.

The intense hate for and projection onto @neeratanden.bsky.social and @shannonrwatts.bsky.social from the left over on the Bad Place seem dripped in heavy misogyny. Wasn’t surprised by the usual bleaters — but honestly feel disappointed prominent influencers that should know better are partaking.

Yeah not sure what happened, or maybe I’m not super active 😅 Also, while I’m an avid reader, this is just free knowledge out there. It just so happens that the far left cryers are fucking privileged babies who accept being spoon fed by mentally disturbed people thus don’t use critical thinking.

"Entryism," a communist tactic to hijack bigger political parties since 1919 Third International. DSA founders set anti-communist guardrails. After 2016 entry communist factions successfully removed the rules in 2025 ousting original anti-communist members. What happened in 2016? *cough* Bernie Bros

Online far leftists who’ve been fed a diluted form of Marxist-Leninism, most recently by the post-2016 DSA, mistakenly believe in powerful central committees in the shadows because that’s how communist “democratic centralism” works to set policy directives and provide orders to indoctrinated cadres.

The Democratic "establishment" is such a nebulous and disorganized thing they very often aren't even on the same page with each other. Consider how many contested primaries have senators, not just Sanders but other totally mainstream liberals, endorsing different opposing candidates.

The way the far left since inception solves the incoherency of contradictory *simultaneous demands* is by forcing purity tests, then excommunicating all who don’t toe the new party line.

This seemingly incoherent communist ideological doctrine 180 tactic is called “the party line,” which “doctrinaires” repeat over and over to people until it becomes “truth.” DSA, which is not democratic socialist anymore as it’s captured by communists, does this, most recently in the Fox interviews.

As I was saying about USSR pivot after 1967 due to Israeli joining the West, the USSR weaponized Jewish “whiteness” as a propaganda wedge, while switching support to the Arabs starting in 1955 who they previously opposed. Pretty much the entire modern far left vocabulary comes from Soviet proganda.

Okay, I’ll share that when I was there the PLO already were using civilians as human shields to score propaganda wins. PLO started off as a terrorist group, then moderated. Hamas terrorists took over Gaza from Fatah (main PLO faction) in 2007 in the Gaza Civil War, and it’s been a worse from there.

Okay, then will you stop buying pretty much every Made In China consumer good because the money you’re handing over is funding the (actual) genocide of the Uyghurs and Tibetans? Look, I too don’t enjoy innocent Palestinians being killed because Hamas uses them as human shields.

Hi, you’re incorrect again. Palestinians were offered Two State peace deals by Israel in 1937, 1947, 2000, 2001, 2008. Every single time Palestinian leadership rejected the offers (90% Gaza/West bank + 10% land swap to make them whole). Rabin was assassinated in 1995 because his was the 6th attempt.

South Sudan separated from Sudan because the Sudanese were being killed in a (actual) genocide by the Rapid Support Forces and Arab Janjaweed militias, who are supported by UAE.

I guess you’ve never been to Israel, nor Gaza (been to both, NGO/humanitarian work). Jews being characterized as “White” was also Soviet propaganda. Many Palestinians are also not “Brown.” And I’ve always supported a Two State solution where both sides can live in peace.

Again you are confusing Jewishness the ethnicity with Judaism the religion. Also: there are 100 countries younger than modern Israel out of 193 total UN members. A country was just born out of an indigenous ethnic group just in 2011 (South Sudan). Jews are indigenous to the area now known as Israel.

secularism: the belief that religion should not be involved in organization of society and other public domains. ethnicity: belonging to a particular ethnic group, which is a community of people that share a common cultural tradition, nation, or background. You are confusing Jewish with Judaism.

I’m stating easily verifiable facts. Re religious states: Israel is a secular state where Islam is practiced/tolerated while many Muslim countries have some form of religious police with authority to beat “offenders” publicly— you don’t feel alive until being chased by Saudi Mutaween as I have been.

USSR had deep anti-Jewish policy; Lenin attacked Jews as "bourgeois nationalists." In 1948 USSR courted Israel hoping Zionism’s socialist roots would align to the East. When Israel chose the West in 1967 USSR weaponized anti-Zionism. Modern anti-Zionism derives heavily from literal Soviet propaganda

In communication, words matter. Empty sloganeering doesn’t work on the actual working class. A certain cohort act like fantasists when what we need is practical pragmatism.

Abdul El-Sayed probably holds more progressive as opposed to far-left views. Pandering to far-left during the primary now looks like to be a big mistake. Words matter in communication. There are more ways than one to say something, FDR figured it out — but the far-left cadres probably won’t let him.

DSA trajectory seems eerily similar to the Tea Party which later morphed into the MAGA cult. Makes me a bit sad because on my journey left after leaving GOP I met some genuinely well-meaning old guard DSAers who have all since left after being pushed out by the communist MUG and Red Star entryists.

I am so sick of how the far left has co-opted the progressive label, FDR, LBJ, etc. Shame on their sympathizers and fellow travelers on our side too. Progressivism is about progress, which means reform. Trying to destroy everything in order to rebuild around an exclusionary ideology is not progress.

James Burnham, Frank Meyer, Whittaker Chambers all over again. Amazing how the modern GOP has major elements of Trotskyist and Marxist strategy that melded with Straussianism. They all started off as unrealistic youthful hyper-idealists before descending into becoming reactionaries.

Most instances of not understanding is not evidence of a -phobia. 20 years ago I didn’t understand trans people — then a close friend came out as a transwoman, which I accepted gladly after the initial shock. Need to meet people where they are. I find the continued openness to dialogue encouraging.

Power — LBJ had a massive Senate supermajority and House margin, as well as an allied Warren Court. Need power to do something. The way to get to power is through pragmatism in order to get elected into power, which is not inherently moderatism. Power allows room for change.

It seems we actually believe something quite similar but are putting it into different words. But yes, once LBJ made up his mind to go with pragmatism (the moral authority route, Cold War, MLK’s counsel, etc.) he went all in — including against it the Dixiecrat faction.
