Excellent short piece here with wise words from @markknight63.bsky.social Back in February 2016, I was lucky enough to visit the site of excavations there. The quality of the archaeology (and of the archaeological investigation) has stayed with me.

I am worried by their statement AFTER rejecting a proposal, that a document detailing their use of AI will be forthcoming. That document and policy should have not only been written and in place before opening the call for proposals, it should have been made VERY CLEAR to all applicants.

Bledlow Ridge Brownies commissioned @chapcic.bsky.social to run a session for their Archaeology badge! 26 very enthusiastic young people handled artefacts, discussed local archaeology, and made 'Beaker pots'. The evening ended with a bit of a carnyx solo, and they each left with a copy of my book.

Just to be clear, I have no issues with the casting choices in this film of the epic poem. I was just amused that some people think using a Viking ship for the Odyssey is some sort of realism flex, but those same people are throwing their toys out of the pram about the selection of actors. #Odyssey
