Switched from one Blue Shield of CA plan to another this year (same type, new number). Found out today that I need a whole new prior authorization for the medication I have been taking for 4 years. What a waste of everyone's time. And we wonder why we spend so much on healthcare in this country.

Just read a fellow woman physician's account of showing up in the ED with pulse=150 & rigors - screamed at/told to stop being anxious/waited in the waiting room for hours collapsed on the floor - finally diagnosed with sepsis NOT anxiety. We need to stop treating women this way. It's not hysteria.
