Another endangered orca, J31, has been on a ‘tour of grief,’ carrying a dead baby orca around, researchers revealed last night at Seattle’s Town Hall. The 31-year-old mom has had several miscarriages and did a similar tour in 2016. More details coming today from @whaleresearch.bsky.social. #srkw

I’d suggest the genre of profile journalism has some shortcomings
The cover of Fortune Magazine that calls the convicted fraud Sam Bankman-Fried “the next warren buffet” because of his crypto-scamThe cover of Forbes, where Elizabeth Holmes holds a capsule of blood for a cover story extolling her genius, shortly before she was convicted for fraud and sentenced to a long prison sentence.A glossy photo spread extolling the glamour and taste of Asma al-Assad, weeks before her husband committed multiple war crimes and eventually had to flee to Russia to avoid being hacked apart by an enraged rob.

Through the first five days of October, San Francisco's tides are running more than 10 inches higher than the late-20th century baseline. About 3 inches of this anomaly are because of long-term sea level rise, the rest can be explained by short-term effects, likely El Nino related.

The president of the United States says that "the New York Times, and many other Artificial Media Outlets, should be arrested" for denying that the arena in which he spoke had empty seats. It's really bad! www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...
The Ohio Arena was already full to the brim — And yet these people were still trying to get in. The New York Times said, “There were empty seats” when, in fact, there were none, and thousands of people had to be turned away. The New York Times, and many other Artificial Media Outlets, should be arrested for their dishonesty and disservice to our Country. When Bernie Sanders has 500 to 1,000 people, they make it sound like it’s the biggest event that ever took place. When PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP has 50,000 people, they make it sound like nobody showed up! President DONALD J. TRUMP
