Mayor Michelle Wu has declared a snow emergency and parking ban in the City of Boston beginning at 2 p.m. today. Boston Public Schools and municipal buildings will be closed on Monday, February 23. Trash and recycling collection will be on a one-day delay in all neighborhoods.
A snow emergency has been declared in the City of Boston beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 22. 

A parking ban will be in effect as of 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 22.

Boston Public Schools will be closed on Monday, February 23. Boston City Hall and other municipal buildings will also be closed.

Trash and recycling collection will be cancelled citywide on Monday. All neighborhoods will be on a one-day delay.

This storm has the potential to be a historic nor’easter. Snow fall in Boston will begin tonight with the heaviest accumulation Monday morning through the afternoon. We could see snow falling at 1-3 inches per hour and 60mph winds. Please stay off the road, stay safe, and allow our teams to work.

The MBTA has announced that from 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9 through the end of service on Sunday, May 18, shuttle buses will replace Orange Line trains between Oak Grove and North Station due to MassDOT bridge work. For details and updates, visit MBTA.com/OrangeLine.
