On June 8, 2026, the Massachusetts Legislature passed a law allowing businesses that currently close at 2 a.m. to serve alcohol until 3 a.m. during the FIFA World Cup 26™. The Licensing Board for the City of Boston (the "Board") is opting in on behalf of the City of Boston. Please note, not all licensees are eligible for this extension. ONLY LICENSEES CURRENTLY APPROVED TO CLOSE AT 2 AM MAY APPLY FOR A 3 AM EXTENSION.
