There is no straw man here, and this isn’t an argument. You are using incorrect language to describe what being trans is, and I am informing you of the correct language. Validity is useless to me; it does me no good when one party is trying to strip me of my rights and the other has no backbone.

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes

I do not actually trust that this will happen at all, let alone actually properly. it takes effort to really design a good decentralized protocol while I recommend matrix, there are many decentralized chat protocols that were designed with that in mind *from the start* instead of adding it later.

sure, it's good that it's stricter than it was before, but I don't really care so much the policy itself as the underlying philosophy, which is what really matters. for example, postmarketOS has a policy which explicitly mentions various examples of ai causing societal harm.

no, what I am saying is that if your goal is to avoid things that use ai, fluxer's new policy is entirely performative because it does not change the existing code, let alone define any ban for the maintainers themselves which have publicly disclosed heavy llm code generation in fluxer.

I can in fact confirm that this is a miscategorization. ...rather ironically, even! back in 2024 I tried making a similar tool for the fediverse instead of bluesky, but my focus on actually trying hard to do it accurately (alongside a bunch of social conflict) ended up killing the project

this is most likely an accidental thing left over from mastodon's source code. I remember a while back they implemented that in response to age verification laws (which also shows how fucking useless the mastodon dev team is in handling social issues)

they are just different mastodon servers run by different people/teams. personally of the two I recommend mstdn.social over mastodon.social - iirc the moderation team of mastodon.social has struck down people saying pro-palestine (anti-genocide) things and also it's often blocked by other servers

report accounts harassing trans people to @moderation.northsky.social we'll label them AND the **big accounts** who encourage and permit their followers to harass trans people in their threads this kind of harassment gets trans people killed, and is the kind of "dog-piling" that requires action.
