the demands and requests have even increased since i finally couldn't take it anymore and went on medical leave about six weeks ago. they don't get it at all. i'm not really able to do anything, which i've repeated to them. yet the requests and demands kept coming. so, for me, not a hard choice.

kinda recently finally figured out that both of my parents are narcissists. i've gone through low/no contact phases with both of them (right now included). about halfway thru an 8-year no contact period with my mom, i got an email asking why i wasn't talking to her. it contained no self-awareness.

trauma-based hypervigilance is probably the one thing that all my other health issues combine into for their final form. it really sucks 😭

i got a prescription for Lunesta last week and to my complete surprise, it's made the sleep problems 10x worse. i'm done with it after last night, another in which i didn't sleep at all. got a 2-hour nap this morning but that's it, but it had no REM or deep sleep, just light sleep.

but with sleep and food, it's like i don't know how to do either anymore. it's no longer automatic (if it ever was, in an autistic brain), which makes food really confusing and troubling for me, and sleep elusive, of poor quality and unsatisfying.

i'm feeling much better than i was a month ago when my leave started, for sure. getting there slowly. there have been two things that my mind and body can no longer seem to agree on: sleep and food. i've had relatively little of both in the past month, yet i feel, eh, "kind of ok".

same timeline for me, except my egg cracked in 2001, when i was 25. transition didn't come until 21 years later. it was absolutely hell but surviving to where i am now made it so much more worth it it's never too late 😊
