I've thought abt posting a few things, but w/so many people responding to other people's posts in a hateful & to tell the truth, extremely weird way🤨. I've been reluctant. Shouldn't be this way. I left FB/X for those reasons. BlueSky is still vastly better, but seems to be drifting. Maybe bots?

Not a very clear pic as I stayed far away, but I've seen my first fawn 😍 I know there were 4-5 pregnant does & I haven't seen too many does around in the last week. Now I know why. I'll have to start being careful during morning walks & keep an eye out for babies & protective mommas.

Go ahead and slam journalists when they deserve it. I certainly do. But also realize that New York Times journalists Declan Walsh and Arlette Bashizi willingly traveled to an Ebola ward in the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to inform the world. Many journalists are heroes. (NYT gift link)

I often see comments abt some Bsky kerfuffle. Yet I never see the original kerfuffle post in my feed. Maybe more ppl should follow fewer ppl that start kerfuffles. Not every silly post made by someone needs to have multitudes of other ppl commenting about it. Some things just need to die in silence.

5 1/2" of rain overnight. Four feet wide drain pipe got clogged with a 5 feet deep pile of limbs & rerouted the creek across the driveway. Now there's a deep gash. It's a good thing I don't like leaving home, because I can't get out now 😳.

My bestest boy (Bernie the Beagle Bassett) had surgery today to remove 3lbs of tumors. I've been anxiety ridden for the last 24hrs. He's been home for 2hrs. He went outside to pee & I got him back in the house, he laid down. I told him he was a good boy and he thumped his tail. He's gonna be OK 🥹
