Well, I voted in deep red IN (but not for the asshole). I'll let you know if I still get a check.

Hermitladee @hermitladee.bsky.social · 20h

Not if you received a subsidy. My insurance doubled & I won't get a check since they covered just a tiny bit of the premium. Sucks 😡

I was around 8 years old and begged my parents to let me watch this. I promised I wouldn't be scared. I was wrong 😱 www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4L9...

Thank you to @bradlovett.bsky.social , @zekeradford.bsky.social and @hessocrazy.bsky.social for filling in on the #AT40 while @porpster.bsky.social celebrates his birthday. It was worth all the Omega XL commercials to listen to so many good tunes this week!

Private Ed actually lost jobs. Majority was in healthcare. I wish I could find a breakdown of which jobs in the healthcare section grew.

Woke up at 3am. Couldn't get back to sleep. Kept thinking about eating a Little Debbie's Nutty Buddy. Checked the kitchen... no Nutty Buddy 😞. So I did the logical (?) thing and made a cake 😆.

I've got a 98 Dodge Ram 5.9L 4x4. It gets about 10mpg. Only drove it 300 miles last year when the snow was deep, I needed to haul a load of water or to pull trees. I wish gas was cheap and non-polluting. I miss hearing that engine roar.

Going through old files on my laptop & found this banger. Honestly didn't think the Ukraine war would have lasted this long. Oh, the hopeful days when I was on Twitter & part of #NAFO.

I've thought abt posting a few things, but w/so many people responding to other people's posts in a hateful & to tell the truth, extremely weird way🤨. I've been reluctant. Shouldn't be this way. I left FB/X for those reasons. BlueSky is still vastly better, but seems to be drifting. Maybe bots?

Hermitladee @hermitladee.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

I've watched it here in the US on PBS (with Passport membership). They have 3 seasons. But I don't know of any other way to see it.

From a post I read on another site... "I was at the show. She said that her mom said it took big balls to do what she does. So she made them sparkly and part of the act. Kacey also commented that this is what happens when nobody tells her no." 🤣

The herd doesn't need to grow-the cows are larger. The ranchers need to sell beef at higher prices, but 80% of beef processing is run by 2 US/2 foreign companies who pay ranchers too little while charging stores & us too much. Importing beef will increase those processor's profits not lower our cost.

Tell me who wouldn't look classier, just using this glass cane? Although I have used this a couple times, my everyday hickory walking stick has saved me so many times. From slippery mud to mole holes to just regular uneven ground, a support of any kind is invaluable.

RCA in Bloomington IN closing down really hurt. If I remember correctly, at one time there were more than 5,000 employees. By the late 90's it was down to 1,000 jobs before finally closing down.

After listening more closely, THAT was not the version on the 45. This one was (minus the answering machine intro). I actually like this linked version much better. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg1C...

I lost my love almost 3 yrs ago. The "unknown future" does feel scary. Just remember... it's not the future that's scary, it's the unknown part. Your new path will reveal itself in time. 🫂

In '23 IN allocated $6mil for DP's Imagination Library. When Braun took over,he cut it to $0. His wife's been selected to scour the wealthy for donations to replace the tax $. Funding has been secured through mid '27, but after that who knows. Childhood literacy must not be a priority in this state.

What a good banger to finish out!! The playlist every week reminds me of so many memories I associate with the songs. To me, those memories are more important than the songs themselves. Thanks for the memories 😍

Not a very clear pic as I stayed far away, but I've seen my first fawn 😍 I know there were 4-5 pregnant does & I haven't seen too many does around in the last week. Now I know why. I'll have to start being careful during morning walks & keep an eye out for babies & protective mommas.

When I was in Jr High & heard this song, I had visions of being asked to dance in High School. Never happened in the first two years and then Jr/Sr years I was put in a religious school where dancing wasn't even allowed 😭 I'm still envious of kids that had a prom 😞

Go ahead and slam journalists when they deserve it. I certainly do. But also realize that New York Times journalists Declan Walsh and Arlette Bashizi willingly traveled to an Ebola ward in the Democratic Republic of Congo in order to inform the world. Many journalists are heroes. (NYT gift link)
