"Narrator: If you keep using it, it's like you're still washing your clothes with urine.
On-screen: The man who used the R-word notices his crisp, white shirt is now yellow. Suspiciously yellow. He springs to his feet, looking at the urine-soaked material and his friends in utter disbelief. The narrator looks directly at us, a satisfied smile on his face.

Accessibility is different for everybody. So, make sure you provide options. (3/6)
Text reads: "2. Give people options. Different accessibility features work for different people. That's why we prepared: a standard audio description, which added key context without interrupting the flow of the ad. An extended audio description, which paused the ad at key points to add more detailed description. A descriptive transcript, with all the dialogue and action, which can be read in one place, at your own pace."

Them: Have you added alt text to the - Us: The photos of the group of dogs led by a corgi home to safety? Yes, yes we have.
Six dogs huddle by a highway barrier at night, illuminated by street lights. From left to right, a small, fluffy, white and beige dog faces away, its tail down. A golden retriever and another golden dog with shorter ears and a curled tail sniff one another’s noses, checking in on one another. A German Shepherd sits in their midst, with the stumpy back legs of the corgi poking out behind, presumably carrying out an inspection. Another brown, medium sized dog watches on. His name is Dapang or “big fat.” He stands under the green highway barrier, watchfully observing his doggy brethren with big, round brown eyes. His long, pointed ears flop out to the sides and his large black nose sniffs for danger - or maybe treats. His stubby front legs stick out under his long, barrel shaped body, with oversized paws on the asphalt. Adding alt text to @theatlantic.com's fantastic Paralympic Photo of the Day 👏 We love that they add descriptions on their website (go look!) and we wanted to bring the accessible vibes to Bluesky, too.
A visually impaired skier and his guide almost take flight as they speed down the Super-G course at the Paralympic Winter Games. Team France's Hyacinthe Deleplace is in mid-air, snow flying around him, as he rounds a corner. He wears a dark blue ski suit, a bib bearing the number 5, a yellow helmet and reflective goggles. He holds bright pink ski poles out to his sides with gloved hands. His guide, Perrine Clair, is in front, leaning dramatically to his right, wearing a high contrast yellow ski suit and a bib with a G on it. Both wear mouthpieces and headphones to communicate with one another. Bare tree branches are in soft focus in the background. The image description of the picture of Hyacinthe and Perrine written out in full, so everyone can read and learn from it.

And here's our final image, complete with a description to make it accessible to everyone. (8/9)
Cathy and her husband, Edgar, laughing together on a blue, satin sofa, sipping cocktails. Cathy wears a white gown with floaty, chiffon sleeves and skirts with a polka dot pattern. Her blonde hair is pulled back in braids and she wears small framed sunglasses. Edgar wears a tall sand colored top hat, a fine beige suit and a cream bow tie. His smile looks genuine, while hers is frozen. Behind them are blue walls with busts of faces, strings of pearls flowing from their mouths. The alt text for the image of Cathy and Edgar, written in full to show people an example of how to write image descriptions.

Heathcliff sits in a cavernous, dark, sparsely furnished room with Mr Earnshaw, and their servant Nelly. Heathcliff is dressed simply, in dirtied clothes, his hair long and straggly. He leans forwards, as if imploring Mr Earnshaw to help him. Mr Earnshaw looks more concerned with his food than with Heathcliff's plight. The weak light from the window and the fireplace in the centre of the room do little to pierce the darkness. The alt text for the image of Heathcliff, Mr Earnshaw and Nelly, written in full to show people an example of how to write image descriptions.

Heathcliff holds Cathy on the wind-swept Yorkshire moors, silhouetted against the gloomy sky as he grips her tightly, leaning towards her with an intense stare. Her head is tilted slightly backwards, as if torn about whether she wants to remain in his grip. He has a straggly beard and his clothing is dirty, while her sleeves are white and billowing. Margot Robbie looking statuesque as she poses in a sheer, custom Dilara Findikoglu dress at the Wuthering Heights UK premiere. The gown features a structured bodice and a flowing, lacy skirt with a long train. Braided hair - real hair - has beem woven into the design. It snakes around her bust, hips and legs, almost binding her. She wears a neat, elegant up do and thick choker. Behind her is a fake dry stone wall, with lush foliage and grasses growing out of it. It looks like she could be out on the Yorkshire moors, but it would be an interesting garment to hike in.
