Helen @helec.bsky.social · 17/08/2026I sort of think its because they believe ultimately SCOTUS will rule in such a way to invalidate all these losses 000

Helen @helec.bsky.social · 18/03/2026So beautiful - the dogs and you - just so wonderfully expressed. Thinking of your Iditarod run and how invested I became in the whole team. While sad to think you are leaving mushing I love that you had this little adventure with Pepe, Colbert, Spike, Clem, Willow, Boudica and Dora. Thank you. 050
Helen @helec.bsky.social · 02/03/2026So sorry to hear - but my goodness you gave Fava such a wonderful retirement. Wishing you all the best at this difficult time. 090

Helen @helec.bsky.social · 24/12/2025I have no dog to share pics of, but hope my Gem will suffice as we both wish Jeems a speedy recovery 0100
Helen @helec.bsky.social · 17/12/2025More seriously I might try channeling my inner Darth and adding some potato 240
Helen @helec.bsky.social · 27/11/2025Yeah, the big hope was it would be a treatment to allow the weight-loss and then you could maintain on diet and lifestyle. I can't say I'm shocked that this isn't the case, but certainly disappointed. At current costs, I can't see how this is a cost-effective approach to obesity related illness. 010
Helen @helec.bsky.social · 27/11/2025So his highlight of being Speaker was something that happened years before he became Speaker? 010
Helen @helec.bsky.social · 27/11/2025Rest well Darth - I'll miss you, but at least now I can start to look forward to your return. I still remember feeling down when the other place was imploding and I wondered if I'd ever see a new Darth post again. 020

Helen @helec.bsky.social · 10/11/2025This has sort of been my issue all along - I just can't imagine what 'winning' looks like for the Dems considering the state of the GOP. 140

Helen @helec.bsky.social · 21/06/2025The reason it's ok here with the heat is the widespread availability of air conditioning. Im at a conference so while it's hot outside it's decidedly chilly inside. 010
Helen @helec.bsky.social · 21/06/2025I continue to lurk with very occasional comments. There is a special sadness when an on-line presence disappears because there is often no explanation. 170
Helen @helec.bsky.social · 20/06/2025If it happens when the thread is down, did it really happen? Sorry to hear your being tormented by hot weather. I traded 46 degree weather for a mere 29 in Chicago though it's due to heat up over the weekend. 110

Helen @helec.bsky.social · 04/05/2025You are not alone - I just hit 600 which feels amazing but means still 266 to go! 010
Helen @helec.bsky.social · 28/04/2025OMG. I just finished his final Peter Diamond book - I'd been putting it off so as not to reach the end. A brilliant writer. I met him once and was so impressed by his outlook on his life and career. I'd not seen news of his death til now. I am grateful he was able to complete the Diamond series. 010

Helen @helec.bsky.social · 23/04/2025Well started on Sunday and finally got it done! Don't want to work out how many hours it took. 120

Helen @helec.bsky.social · 07/04/2025I'm struggling to be productive outside of work - the world is such a mess and work is awash in uncertainty - so tonight I want to declare my weekend achievements. I completed my tax return, cleaned my kitchen and I set up my cats favourite portable chair in the living room and she is happy. 010

Helen @helec.bsky.social · 03/04/2025That sounds like a cover story to me. We all know Pepe is the fastest Bravermountain dog (source: Pepe). Much more likely is she and the Redingtons have important stuff to do, and she trusts Dora to look after Q. 0701
