Back in the 1880s, doctors proposed a new cure for ataxia: suspending people from the ceiling. 140 year from now, how ludicrous will the dozens of things I’ve tried for long covid sound? imagine1community.blogspot.com/2026/07/new-...

basically for the same reason people said, harris doesn’t have enough experience to run for president, but did not blink one blink about veep vance douthat at the nytimes, and a LOT of other people. i’m guessing repubs are pushing him; when he wins the primary they’ll eat him alive.

… and it stuck with me, so when Zeke was a toddler, I took him off pavement as much as I could in the NYC parks. Which maybe was the part that made me tell you about it? Anyway, I’m honored that I maybe inspired part of your poem. And I hope to see more of your poetic writing.

In my mind, there were a lot of rocks that provided firm footing in between the ice patches. But having grown up in an urban area, she didn’t think of rocks as easily navigable terrain, which really surprised me, especially since she was otherwise so athletic. …

I love the poem. Is it possible I told you the story of hiking with my friend, who had already completed the Ironman triathlon, on a day when there was some ice on the trail? We later visited my parents and she said, it was treacherous, ice and rocks everywhere.

I remain absolutely furious that all this shit in Minneapolis started because a barely-literate homeschooled mormon made a video trying to run up in daycare centers trying to find people of Somalian descent doing fraud despite the ringleader (a white woman) being in jail since March. Demonic.

What if this darkness
is not the darkness of the tomb,
But the darkness of the womb.
What if our America is not dead,
But a country that is waiting to be born.
What if the story of America is one long labor
What if all our grandfathers and grandmothers are standing behind us now,
Those who survived occupation and genocide,
Slavery and Jim Crow,
Detentions and political assault.
What if they are whispering in our ear tonight,
You. Are. Brave.
