Did you get an opportunity to go cycling? It’s amazing: drivers respectfully go around you and don’t honk. It’s surreal! The views above Lago de Como were spectacular! I want to go back and do the Stelvio. It was a bit too far from the family’s chosen route.

Did you take the steep climb toward the other Cinque Terra? Did it with the family one day, then a few times myself the next. Met a lovely Danish couple and enjoyed a chat on the way up once. They started from the far other end. I’d love to go do the whole thing.

It’s not Italy 😔, but Snohomish County cycling has its charms. Arlington had an art walk I spent some time in while enjoying my almond milk mocha. ⛽️

#UniFi travel router arrived! 😍 Also ordered another puck. Living room/kitchen doesn’t have great coverage. Too much solid interference from the puck down the hallway that provides coverage for the bedrooms. Should’ve installed it when that ceiling was open for the remodel. Harder install now. 😔

I've played percussion almost my entire life. Playing timpani, getting accepted into All State Orchestra in high school, and playing with a community symphony for a season have been highlights for me. That's why I love the Children of Dune soundtrack: the timpani—and the chimes—are moving.

My little sister sent me a belated birthday card that struck a nerve. I’ve been lambasting this for years and not just as I got older. Browsers support a standard date picker, number validation before that, and simple JavaScript for free-form numbers before that! Get with the times, all web sites!

#TdF organizers and #UCI - who keep touting “safety” - really need to avoid or better protect around road furniture like this. Sad to see Vingegaard injured and out of the Tour. Another view shows it was >90° and narrow to get around it. Other side was wider but on the inside of the sharp turn.

Took my friend to Vesper - his first time up there. Unfortunately it was completely socked in and he only got a brief hazy view of beautiful jade Copper Lake, but enjoyed the hike. It’s a difficult one with varied terrain and a snow field, but we’ve climbed many and glaciers together.

Took the Scouts on a 3-day backpacking trip in central Washington. Though a desert, temperatures were decent but very strong winds made for dusty conditions. It’s pretty for a change and was nice but I prefer the Pacific Northwest forests and mountains.

You can include commit details via project settings. Pair that with an existing bot for PR format or just a simple GitHub Action - either of which some other projects use - and you could probably avoid the hassle and optics of not merging PRs.

But there are no limits or obvious indications that someone edited their post via goat, pds.ls, etc. Not saying these aren’t good ideas, but about as secure as this gate. How would such a loophole be closed or, if useful functionality to retain, show indications of new CIDs in AppViews?

The Kraken-inspired theme was fun for a spell, but contrast was difficult on the eyes. Switched to a cooler palette for dark and light themes.

Making hanging shelves for my daughter’s room is a PITA, but I think they’re turning out okay. Drilling 6” (nearly) perfect holes took a lot of trial and practice. Many scrap pieces suffered.

We got a little wet this morning. Almost the entire trail was a creek. We all took a dip or two punching though snow bridges or slipping on ice. Stopped raining when we got back to the cars and blue skies after lunch. Figures. Still a good time. Taking an accidental dip was liberating, actually.
