Some of the faces I meet on the street are folded into themselves as to make them believe this confers an invisibility. Others answer my open face with theirs. I smile with both my face and my body because I know that the energy travels, even if it seems like a subtle knock on a locked door

I’ve said a similar sentiment before myself and truly believe it: There is no appeasing fascists. If every group they hate were “disappeared”, they would go after each other until the last fascist drowns in a pool fighting his own hateful reflection.

#StunDay Sunday morning in Japan, started gloriously. But what really stuns me is that having heart failure in Japan is literally the 3rd best thing to happen to me in my life. Please see Alt. #Photography #WCK #ECK #BlueskyPhotography #PhotographersUnited #Philosophy #Metaphysics #Spirituality
A photo of a bright red, orange, and pink sunrise over Kanazawa. The sky seems to be burning with light and live as the sun wakes the morning. A mass of white buildings is nestled between dark green trees in the foreground and dark mountains below the sunrise.

The beauty of the morning made me appreciate the beauty of the world. The fact of being in the hospital has allowed me to see life more clearly than ever before. Now I am forced to sit with my thoughts and do nothing which has inspired my art to new degrees.

Since being in the hospital, I'm experimenting with drawing techniques with marker pens, which I haven't used since I was a child, and colored pencils with very limited resources. It has also spurred my poetry to new heights. Ironically, my heart, shutting down has opened my heart to the beauty and love of the universe so this is the third best thing to ever happen to me.

Bunnies sit at a table outside a cafe, called the Luna Cafe. It is on the surface of the moon, looking at a distant planet earth. They sip from mugs while a third bunny watches from a second floor balcony.

Stalks of pink flower heads along a wooden fence in an inner city alleyway. It's October and their blooms and stems are burnt from frosts. Their heads bent in death and well deserved sleep.

Archaeology is when you're unpacking boxes now, packed in 2017, after long term memory loss injury. Unspooling, carefully handling wrapped detritus, knowing somehow it must have been precious in the eyes of the person who no longer exists.

llustration is a detailed scientific illustration of a type of cup fungus, specifically identified by the text as Peziza coccinea (now known as Sarcoscypha coccinea or the scarlet elfcup) and Peziza epidendra. The illustration shows several specimens of the fungus at different stages of growth and from various angles. The fungi are depicted with vibrant red interiors and white exteriors, growing on a piece of dead wood.
