A really underrated part of AEW's completely brilliant tribute show for Pac is how many of the male performers are willing to be completely vulnerable and cry on camera. Big, muscular wrestlers, consumed by emotion, and ready to share that with us, the audience. It's really beautiful. #AEW

I do think there's a very fair argument that binning Richarlison and not signing a traditional 9 to replace him was inherently insane. And I think it also comes back to the idea that you need a '20-goal-a-season man', which is a very common phrase in English football media. They're hard to find!

Genuinely not sure how much longer I can cope without finding work, and having something to do. I'm so low from day to day, it feels pretty hopeless right now, and I just don't know where to turn. This is all very salient but part of the issue, for me, is that RDZ seems shocked by it. Most of the others mentioned were following and trusting in a process. I'm not sure we are.

The issue there is that neither of them are dynamic enough, and we also don't have a proper 10 playing ahead of them to break lines. I'd honestly rather Gallagher's industry than Bentancur's safe sideways passing. And we have to find a way to get Maddison starting.

I don't think he's very good but he's clearly the fittest of the midfielders, and appears to be up to speed with RDZ's way of thinking. It's an indictment on the rest of our midfielders - especially the £185m pair - that he's the best of the bunch. This is harsh, I know, but he's adequate at best.

Lovely read, this, Ian. I used to frequent the Angels when I lived in Rusthall (a small village outside of Tunbridge Wells, with a ground called Jockey Farm for their even smaller football club). Brought back lots of memories. Would heartily recommend paying a visit to the Rustics too!
