Prediction: Countries will start to regulate AI on their own territories. The US will apply tariffs to those who do. The momentum will force western AI companies to sandbox for some. Global AI will continue to access sensitive systems regardless.

Might need to crowdfund for a activity tracker. I’m a failure with Strava on an iPhone.

The agency process for automation is often: 1. document 2. proceduralise 3. automate 4. delegate to AI But that assumes AI-led automation should mirror a human approach. Docs & procedures make tacit knowledge legible to people. AI doesn't always need that. It can often master a task directly.

Scope creep is not a bad thing unless it costs an agency money. In most projects people discover valuable things after kick off. That should be embraced. Neither a simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ is the right way to handle those requests.

Dorset Council just sent me the full address of my namesake to my email address in an appeal for them to register to vote. So I assume they haven't verified their email address list. Which is a massive GDPR and data protection fail.

Would you trust AI to give you the right answer to a context specific question? For me it comes down to how mature your use of the tools is. Can you feed it enough context and are you getting accurate answers? Whether you trust AI to deliver an outcome is the next level, and right now not many do.

One of the favourite things I've done in the last couple of years is actually quite small. I creating a heart favicon a while ago that changes between black and white depending on the browsers dark/light mode setting. It still brings me (and client) joy. 🖤 or 🤍 adaptive so it's always visible.

Change is scary, especially when it involves people. A lot of the writing I've done recently has been around the subject of tacit knowledge and dependence on seniors. What I've not covered yet is the clear connection between team maturity and their ability to cope with people changes.

There's a design company with a single offer. ~£3,600 a month for unlimited requests. But it's obviously not that simple: -It's 1 request at a time -48 hour turn-around -1 person team (!) -Large items broken into several So it's (max) 11 requests a month. ~£330 each. Great (Agile) business model.
