A quick, way too early in the morning, sketch of the battle husbands. #chreon

Line drawing of Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield, both with weapons drawn, facing opposite directions, ready to fight, on a blue watercolour background.

Kinda liking the look of the figures on the slightly textured ink wash without a proper background. #residentevil #chrisredfield #rosewinters #gouache #fanart

Getting my fingers limbered up for quick and liberal use of the block button, it's Pride season in Warframe, so that means we'll have a whole flood of very loud clowns yelling about how the game has gone woke and how that's somehow ruining it for them.

While defending the luddite argument in Discord, I stumbled into this IMO succinct explanation for opposing generative AI: At every step in the process, it impoverishes us.

AI impoverishes us at every step of the process:
- data centers pollute our environment
- energy use drives up costs
- content theft robs creators of income
- the actual output is used to displace workers and depress wages
- using it harms our mental health and impairs our competence
- the flood of AI slop is damaging our sociopolitical landscape

All in service of making a worse product - and world - to enrich a handful of already spectacularly wealthy people

Since the Steam situation is the newest bee in my bonnet ... am I the only one who finds it interesting that after the AAA Industry was freaking out about indie games it is now the two biggest platforms for indie developers to be able to monetize their games that are being attacked?

Quick and very messy sketch of Arthur Nightingale from Warframe 1999.

Loosely shaded digital chest-up sketch of Arthur Nightingale, a character from the 1999 expansion of the Warframe game. He is a battle-hardened ex-soldier with scars on the left side of his face and one whited-out eye, also on the left. He has short dark hair with floppy, white bangs framing his face. His body is encased in plated biomechanical armor that reaches up to his chin. He is wearing an equipment harness with ammo pouches and a radio, and is wearing a pair of dog tags. He has an earring in his left ear.

yeah there's a lot of "create weird art" and not a lot of "your favorite artist can't balance their shitty dayjob and emergency expenses with creating art" or "your favorite artist is burnt out because they've been doing more commissions than personal art for years"

The true meaning of "The Great Despair," and the legit worst part of #Warframe 1999: when you hit Best Friends with everyone, and the daily messages stop coming. :( I'm begging you, DE: don't punish me for doing bounties. T_T @foxsyn.bsky.social suggested this, and it is PAINFULLY ACCURATE. #art

A man known as the Drifter sits in his totally rad 90's outfit in front of an old CRT monitor. He's leaning on one hand, looking glum about whatever he's seeing on the illuminated screen. The lyrics to On-lyne's "The Great Despair" are written around the illustration:

"This obsession has turned into The Great Despair"

We see the screen now: it's a desktop with the colorful, Duviri sky over a lush, green field. There's a friend list for a chat program on the left side of the screen. The lyrics continue:

"I keep thinking I see you"

The contact list is closer now - every single person on it is listed as offline, as they have been since hitting the rank of Best Friend. There's a talk bubble to the side that has a chibi version of the Drifter's face with a recreation of a crying emoticon (specifically ╥﹏╥). He is truly suffering. The lyrics don't help him.

"And there's nobody there..."
