A quick, way too early in the morning, sketch of the battle husbands. #chreon

Line drawing of Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield, both with weapons drawn, facing opposite directions, ready to fight, on a blue watercolour background.

Kinda liking the look of the figures on the slightly textured ink wash without a proper background. #residentevil #chrisredfield #rosewinters #gouache #fanart

I've missed having enough breathing room to really focus on art. Gouache on paper, about postcard sized. #residentevil #leonkennedy #fanart

My partner had shingles last year. Worst case our GP has, seen, according to him. Took three rounds of antibiotics and three weeks to start going down with an additional three months of Tramadol for pain management. And that was still the worst I've ever seen someone in. It's agony.

Why has it taken me about 50 million years to get back to drawing with an easel at an actual desk and not shrimp on the couch? Gonna get to painting this eventually (I have too many sketches waiting for paint...) #leonkennedy #residentevil #residentevilrequiem #fanart #sketch

One of the reasons I love gouache as a medium is that texture. You can paint reasonably smooth with it, sure, but it naturally has this... Grit? to it that I just love.

Man, you sound like a dream client. Not just someone who respects the profession, but who's taken time to actually engage with the process in a way that gives you a great understanding!

I always wonder how the last 8+ years it the game having queer characters in it and 10+ years of having the same themes they are now whining over being "woke" has not registered with them.

HardWiredWeird @hardwiredweird.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Getting my fingers limbered up for quick and liberal use of the block button, it's Pride season in Warframe, so that means we'll have a whole flood of very loud clowns yelling about how the game has gone woke and how that's somehow ruining it for them.

a waterbrush is a super compact and non fiddly way to shade. So why not try that. I also have a little tin of watersoluble graphite that I've used for something like this before, which I love, but the grabulation of it isn't ideal for super tiny details.

I'm getting real tired of the "we can disagree and still be friends" crowd. Because everyone who pulls that line only ever does so to justify bigotry. No, we can't disagree on basic human rights.

... as someone who's had their health permanently shattered (and who knows plenty of people like me), making a comparison between being bored/not being able to play the newest AAA game to a pandemic that killed people and left many disabled is a horrendous take.

There were so many cool things in the #warframe PAX stream, but having slept on it and it still rubbing me wrong: Rocco comparing not being able to play games to the pandemic was.... Really icky. Yes, the PC part crisis sucks (and the reason behind it is fucking disgusting) but...

While defending the luddite argument in Discord, I stumbled into this IMO succinct explanation for opposing generative AI: At every step in the process, it impoverishes us.

AI impoverishes us at every step of the process:
- data centers pollute our environment
- energy use drives up costs
- content theft robs creators of income
- the actual output is used to displace workers and depress wages
- using it harms our mental health and impairs our competence
- the flood of AI slop is damaging our sociopolitical landscape

All in service of making a worse product - and world - to enrich a handful of already spectacularly wealthy people

The legs aren't bound together. This is just a result of humans being very, very shitty with selective breeding. They're bred to have weakened tendons, muscles and bone structure. Reason: They're much easier to herd when they can't run, jump or climb. Still animal cruelty, but of a different kind.
