Today is #thecampfire where we tell our stories on the first Tuesday of every month. Stories can be sad, happy, joyful, scary. They can be hard to read or hilarious. Stories bring us closer together, connect us. We need stories and connection. I'm still thinking on mine, but I hope you join!

This 2008 Olympus 1030SW with it's 10mp CCD sensor does a pretty good job with it's optical macro. Waterproof and hardened case and uses XD cards! No raw, just jpegs. I think this thing is bulletproof ! #photography 📷

Perhaps,Bill. Grocery store chaining / warehousing and global branding ( Kraft- Nestle- Nabisco= Mondelez ) also ruined independent grocers. I miss them. My post viewpoint was related to my own multi- decade habit of storing physical media ,backing up and streaming to my devices and portables .

Thanks, @brianbeker.bsky.social . It's unusual to have this problem on postive slides this old. It's just not a problem on negative film. I camera digitalize negatives- and have done these slides in NLP. It's just that even the *base layer is discolored*. Here's the usual oOLD Ektachrome 64 :

Good color representation, but with red/magenta in the film base aside from the color layer.

Making an curated archive for my kids , this 63 year old Ektachrome slide chems and film base have changed over time and are nearly all magenta. Black and white conversion was the only save.

Freshly hatched Giant Emperor #butterly At Pili Palas butterfly house, they have the hatching box inside the exhibit so you can see the newborns rather than introducing them from behind the scenes. I like that 😍🦋
