This 2008 Olympus 1030SW with it's 10mp CCD sensor does a pretty good job with it's optical macro. Waterproof and hardened case and uses XD cards! No raw, just jpegs. I think this thing is bulletproof ! #photography 📷

Thanks, @brianbeker.bsky.social . It's unusual to have this problem on postive slides this old.It's just not a problem on negative film. I camera digitalize negatives- and have done these slides in NLP. It's just that even the *base layer is discolored*. Here's the usual oOLD Ektachrome 64 :

Good color representation, but with red/magenta in the film base aside from the color layer.

Making an curated archive for my kids , this 63 year old Ektachrome slide chems and film base have changed over time and are nearly all magenta. Black and white conversion was the only save.

Hybrid coneflowers will sometimes reseed and may last 3- 5 years.
