iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I've not heard any negatives/positives prior to this ask, btw, I just want to know if she's okay to talk to, or not.

I always assume my audience is a generally LGBT audience, centered mainly on trans people. My "place" is in educating, where it is helping allies see our needs, or providing information to other trans people. These *can* be bleak times, no one needs them to be bleaker, thanks.

As a general rule, whenever I am writing about "the horrors" - and sometimes you do have to - I try to not leave the piece on that. I try to find the hope, even in the bleakest write-ups. Too much Harvey Milk in my mind, I guess. I avoid "ugly for ugly's sake." Neither I nor my readers need that.

He looks so fucking weak and out of his depth up there. Pacing around like a fool.

The latest action rescinding the Title IX regs does not change the law. It is cruel, yes, but we should not panic and instead invest in state and local protections. time.com/article/2026...

Trump's Title IX Announcement Is Cruel. But It Does Not Change The Law

“Schools can and should continue to include transgender students equally in all educational programs,” writes Chase Strangio.

Hinestly, I dunno why we even bother choosing names that arent Cassandra.

100% AI is never going to quite grasp the human element that makes music music. You could do dozens of versions of every song in your oeuvre. Each would be beautiful and unique. Each would have a piece of your soul. I know that's hard to quantify for the AI fans, but you know it when you feel it.

(as I realize that my current ear worm is a track by The Last Dinner Party -- and segments from track 1 of the Hood Internet's remix of Girl Talk's Night Ripper album)

120

I also love classical and classical instruments, and also 70s prog, and also steam calliopes. I enjoy baroque pop, Celtic folk, and, well.... music. I love hearing the songs of other human's souls. AI music? It's a cute toy, I suppose, but it's not really for me.

130

There's some things that I will always love. Like, you can pry my Beatles and Queen from my cold, dead hands. But I love exploring the music I don't know, and finding what compels me. I have a taste, as an example, for non-Western tunings. I am fond of mashup culture and musique concrète.

130

But I don't want infinite, personalized music. I want the music I already love, and I want the music that challenges me today.

290

Ultimately, I don't think it matters. They got their soundbite, we got ours. :-/

030

I was being intentional in its use ;-)

(caveat: you will see "girl" used like this in some subcultures, but call a stereotypical group of straight guys, "girls," and there may be trouble...)

130

This is my lane. It's a bit like what happened to "guys," or even in some circles, "dudes." Men, often viewed as an unspoken "default," leads to masculine-coded words becoming a default term for, well, humankind. You never see that wth, say, "gals." It's kinda annoying.

380

Try not to rattle off of it.

000

A year or two I bought a print of this. It's up on the wall. Never ceases to make me smile as I see it.

I don't want to give away too much of things you might not have seen, but ya. I feel a lot about some of the post-Endgame similarly. They had some good elements, but did they stand up? I dunno. Some more than others, but few are really that great, IMO. Often a muddle.

Agreed. Also, Wilson and Hiddleston have great chemistry. Sophie, too, is good. It could have been so much better.

Agreed. I think you also hit on a lot of my issues with this era of Marvel, too.. With obvious examples to the contrary (AAA), a lot of the post-endgame Marvel movies and TV suffer from a lack of emotional investment. As if we're expected to care by default not because we've given a good reason.

120

The rest of the cast did good, but it could have been so, so much better.

110

Agreed. There were great parts in S2. But there was also a lot of downright poor parts. Majors, in particular, brought it all down, and not solely for his actions off the screen. I just didn't like Victor Timely

just so everyone knows, the title IX changes also made it even harder to report sexual assult as well as making it legal to descriminate against trans people. anti-trans means pro-rape. every time.

In addition to age of consent activism, Jeffrey Epstein supplicant Thomas K. Hubbard also wanted to fund “The Autogynephilia Project,” a longtime dream of chaser J. Michael Bailey. My profile of Hubbard in reply. www.chron.com/politics/art...

It also does an amazing job of fitting the post-modern aesthetic of the whole building. It fits its (admittedly offbeat) time and place perfectly.
