When I was twelve, I was groped by a man on a train platform who clearly thought I was a young girl, not a young boy. That's the creepiest but not the only thing I could mention. If you are an adult male pretending that no woman you know has these kinds of stories, you are wrong. Stop pretending.

Brantford's river is smaller, and my average bill is under $40 per month. But, Brantford has probably made capital expenditures on water infrastructure since the turn of the century...
Screenshot of a CBC news article declaring that water bills in Calgary, Alberta, could be $90 higher per month by 2030

How, exactly, is this trash Charlottetown joint trying (but failing) to accommodate *anything*?

I'm understanding more and more why cops are generally bad at solving crime and comically inept at preventing it. Clearly, most are dumb as toast.

If you are looking for Indigenous musicians to give a listen to, here's two: Logan Staats from Six Nations/Brantford, and Yellowknife's Jay Gilday.

AI is not capable of doing the work that I do, and even if it did, it would still be useless because it wouldn't understand it. An actual guy on meth would have a better chance of producing something I could use.

Foreign head of state goes to UN to slander an elected U.S. leader with transparently false claims. Which wouldn't be a big deal if he didn't claim to be an ally, & if we weren't pouring in money to prop his profoundly corrupt regime. The U.S. helped pay for this attack on a U.S. leader.

Two thing can be true. The WH kicking out media it doesn’t like is absolutely a First Amendment violation. And There is little journalism of value to be found in the highly controlled, substance-free halls of power—wall-to-wall navel-gazing about one’s access probably being of the least value.

I've received a few responses & seen others along the lines of the cops can't be beat, they will attack (they will & have) & Chow wise not to engage. But this is the job. It's a dereliction of leadership not to tackle this. Same with Ontario Liberal leadership candidates silent on it. Dereliction.

The myth Alberta 'subsidizes' the rest of Canada is the most powerful meme in the separatist armoury. But it's utterly false. I show that most Albertans get more back from federal programs than they personally pay in federal taxes, for @thetyee.ca: thetyee.ca/Opinion/2026... #abpoli /2

People want to make bathroom laws so that predatory males won't dress up as a woman to gain entry to attack women. But under those laws, predatory males wouldn't need to work to try to 'pass' as female. They would just say they are trans men (who also exist). This is true w/out those laws too...

Media doesn’t “make” anyone do or believe anything. But it does provide permission structure and prioritization for what people think society will accept them doing or believing. This can be much more powerful and determinative than the seterotypical didactic propaganda we typically imagine.

Oh, and the idea that God looks like Zeus in Renaissance paintings (see: The Sistine Chapel and everything else) is quite literally the result of the era's infatuation with Greek culture and aesthetics and the decision to render the Big Bigness like actually literally Zeus and it's poisoned us

The idea that the Great Infinite Everything got put into a tiny box labelled "father" by patriarchy is bullshit & suits the agenda of institutions of control but the great theologians of every age knew better; normative Judaism often knew better; & it's certainly not how things must be. So.

My sister-in-law went to a bunny lounge. It's a pretty simple concept: you give them money and they let you hang out with a bunch of adorable bunnies. I think Brantford needs one, and I think it should be between my house and the pub.
