Hi, I'm John McSurvivorguy, and I'm here to offer you Basic Gaming Principles for your aspiring Survivorlike. Principles such as "Your starting weapon can either: 1) Auto-target the nearest mook, or 2) Fire two projectiles in a V shape -but it cannot do both." Please refer to the diagram.

I think every human being needs to experience a little bit of suffering to be emotionally complete but I also think that suffering should be on the level of "lost an entire weekend to Pooh's Home Run Derby and didn't even win" and not "subjected to inhumane systemic violence"

If it works, that's pretty cool; I didn't think
would ever see this implemented (I also didn't
expect LLMs to exist).
However, this is not something you can PR
here, or anywhere. You sent me a nearly 50k
line diff, unasked for, completely LLM built, and
you somehow expect me to review it. There is
SO MUCH unrelated garbage here. Never
minding all of the docs and Python, you've
somehow touched basically all of the upstream
HDL, which already had MSU1 support, so idk
what in the world you're doing.
This kind of behavior is not acceptable. You are
infringing on the time and brainpower of people
by pushing "your" content that little/no of your
brainpower went into; completely unrequested.
I hope for the sake of all responsible
maintainers that you do not do such a thing
again.
Again, I think it's cool that you and your LLM
supposedly got this to work. It has no place in
my world.

Reminds me of this Susano run where the Sage didn't use Kardia. And it's Susano, so, y'know, there's lots of break time, so all of us were telling them to use it! Repeatedly!

The thing about having a complete dumbass for a president, is that I can't even figure out if this is just a jab at Democrat cities, or if he has genuinely mixed up San Diego with Diego Garcia, a base in the middle of the Indian Ocean (which DID have a missile fired at it.)

So hypotheticals like this of 'what if someone else was the WoL' is weird to look at from the perspective of somebody that started the game when it assumed there were already more WoLs. 😅

000

Team Sky Grunt 🐉 @guychihuahua.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

This does bring up an odd consideration, though: 1.0 and ARR actually used to pretend there were multiple WoLs. A lot of journals and quests with dungeons even reference the fact that other players are WoLs. That's something they kind of... stopped, for some reason.

Jet has a very brief, but comically exasperated 'not this again' reaction, because he was there for the fall of Dalamud, and this isn't the first time he's woken up and people don't recognize him. He goes on to stab more baddies and inevitably just winds up as the SECOND WoL alongside Derplander.

Breaking Bad is okay, but the true 'American healthcare is awful as a plot premise' show ought to be Leverage. 'Cause Nathan Ford loses his son and marriage to a denied medical claim, and spends five seasons robbing the absolute shit out of corporations and the rich as a result.

There's a point where you have to determine if it's an accessibility option, or if it's there for people that simply just dislike your game. Do you want them to actually engage with the game? Or do you want to punt them to the credits so they can post about playing Product®?

The advantages of RPGs as a genre is the world building and storytelling! I shouldn't need or not need to do side stuff as part of progression, but I should want to! Telling me before I've even started playing that I 'might' desire to not engage with it is mindboggling!

The FF7 level discourse makes me sad. The point isn't 'is it optional'- you're making an RPG! At no point should there be a button implying I will want to skip parts of a game I -paid- for! The last third of FF6 and Chrono Trigger are optional, and those are the best parts!
