A warm welcome to delegates from @guildeu.bsky.social and ARUA joining us for the second Africa–Europe CoRE Conference. Over the next three days, colleagues and partners will explore how universities can work in partnership to address shared global challenges through research and innovation.

A large audience sits in rows of chairs inside the Bute Hall at the University of Glasgow. It's cathedral-like hall with blue columns, wooden balconies, and ornate architectural details. At the front, Prof. Andy Schofield stands at a podium on a stage before a large digital screen displaying a conference presentation.
