Story time!!! I cleaned my office today, and of course stumble on random cards here and there. Buried on my desk was a paper-slip proxy, which I desleeved only to find - a real old border Panharmonicon underneath. Not a huge find, but a $7 card I wanted and didn't know I had. Score! But... 1/x

Me with Magic: The Gathering (and at one point, video games). It's insane we still have to endure a series of mental hurdles to be able to enjoy a space with shared interests. The reason I know as much as I do about Magic is in part of this process, it's not all curiosity - but also preparation.

Hobbit packs are extremely expensive and seeing people post about having it when you don't doesn't actually create good feelings. It's unachievable FOMO rather than inspirational. Mix in that 99% of the content being extremely uninteresting/uninspired & people will turn quickly on the Havers.

I've now won two 1-of-1 Event Champion playmats from RCR tournaments in Richmond. Tonight I got them framed and hung in my office. TO's take note, we love this kinda special stuff to play for!! Huge shout out to Final Fortune Gaming in VA. Best run tournaments by far imo.

My wife and I just completed Pandora's Legacy, a part-jigsaw part-logic puzzle game from TED-Ed. I cannot recommend it enough. We are huge fans of escape room type board games, and this one blows them all out of the water. Well made, unique challenges, clever puzzles. 10/10 no notes.

Oh this just got better! From LaYZ on the Godo discord. - Cast Welder. - Cast Scepter giving welder haste. Add R - Cast Sculpting Steel as Scepter, dies to legend rule. - Activate welder targeting Scepter and Steel, have Steel enter as a copy of Scepter. - Scepter ETB's, untapping Welder. Repeat.

Found a reasonable new combo I'm excited to try in Godo with the new Loki's Scepter. Its got utility on its own as a rock that can remove Drannith/Op Agent. It can also steal Kinnan for Basalt combo. And it will have various other random utility ala Claim the Firstborn that I've really liked.
